Attribution
?mb= in this URL | |
| click token exchanged | |
__mb_ct from JavaScript |
This writes real data. Every sale below lands in production reporting for
whichever account owns this host, and there is no refund path — revenue is not reversible
from here. Use a real campaign click to test attribution: send yourself one, click a link,
and land on this page with
?mb= intact.
Device storage
mb_vid visitor id | |
mb_idy identity | |
mb_buf buffered |
Clearing these and reloading simulates a first-time visitor. The click cookie survives —
only the server can clear that.
Products
Click these before identifying: browse events buffer on the device and the
counter above rises with no request going out. Then hit
identify() and watch a
single batch flush, marked as backfilled.
Checkout
checkout_completed() never buffers — it sends whether or not we know who the
buyer is. Sending the same orderId twice is accepted twice and recorded once.
Subscriber fields
set_fields() with no identity and no click cookie is dropped — there is nothing
to attach the fields to.
Failure modes worth seeing
The first two are dropped with a
console.error on your own page. The third is
stored exactly as sent — there is no whitelist — and under debug mode the console names the
documented spelling.
